The Last Night...

Tonight was a really cool ending to a VERY cool week! I spoke about our Dream/Spiritual GPS.  This morning one of the guys from the camp, Christian Young who is a Yale Film student, and myself went to a local cemetery to shoot a video for tonight.  It turned out so cool! I will try to post the video on here when I have internet access with my laptop (the posts this week have been from my treo).

I believe God really challenged the students to listen for His voice as they follow the route that God has them on.

Tomorrow I get to love on the kids before they go and then I get to spend the rest of the weekend with mom and the girls...I can't wait!!!  Even better, I can't wait to get back to Sandusky to smooch with my wife and see my little man!

Relationship Thursday

Tonight I spoke to the students about dating relationships and staying sexually pure.  It was a great service and we had an awesome time at the altars.

The one staggering thing that came out of the night was, as we asked students who had given away their purity but wanted Jesus to restore their purity in His sight.  There were 16 boys and 31 girls that responded, that is more than 1/3 of the entire camp.

It was so cool to see the work of restoration in those that responded.  I found out today that God's moving did not stop in the tabernacle.  When the boys got back to there dorms they began to ask questions about sex, pornography and masturbation.  God did some very cool things in the dorms through that discussion.

Pardon the Interruption

PTI is one of my favorite shows on ESPN.  Well tonight at Tri-State that is exactly what we had, an interruption, in a God kind of way.

Jim and Lois Eschenbrenner are the Directors of Tri-State and int he past few months Lois has been diagnosed with cancer.  When I found this out the Sunday I really felt impressed by God to have the camp pray for her healing.

Tonight I used the story of Job as an example about how he was going through life and all of a sudden his life was interrupted by tradegy.  I shared stories of Cassie Ground's death, my friend Jeremiah Hembree who lost his son during birth along with others.  At the end of service I called Jim, Lois and their children up to pray over them along with all of the Pastors that were present.  What an incredible time of prayer! I am truly believing God to hear of Lois's healing.

After that we asked the students that had an interruption in their life but had never dealt with the hurt and pain to come and pray.  It was a powerful time of prayer and such an awesome presence of God!

Tomorrow night I will be speaking on dating relationships, so I am really looking forward to that.  Also, today and tomorrow I am getting to do a workshop for girls only.  Today was awesome and I am really excited about how God is going to use me again tomorrow!

Tri-State Day 1 & 2

Two days into Tri-State 2008 and things are going awesome!  Last night I spoke out of 1 Samuel 10 where Saul was hiding among the baggage.  We talked about the spirirtual/emotional baggage that the students had brought with them and how some where hiding from what God wanted to do in their lives.

Tonight God did some really cool things in the prayer time before I spoke.  I briefly talked about how God is our father and he desires to hear us express our love for Him, and he also wants to show His love for us!

I then spoke about trusting God with our dreams and that for our dreams to be fulfilled it will require some sacrifice on our part!

Following the service I got to talk with a very sweet girl about some things she was going through and struggling with, it was a very cool discussion!

Please continue to pray that God will do some incredible things!  Especially tomorrow night as we will be praying for the camp directors wife who has cancer.  I am really believing God to do something miraculous!

Junior High Camp...

 

I have officially started my crazy July! I left Sunday for Junior High Camp, and am having a great week!  Then on Friday I fly to KC for anorher week of camp.  I am really looking forward to the next couple of weeks, with the exception of being being away from my family...man I miss them bigtime already!
